Bar Daskal is a Spanish wine and cocktail bar in London Bridge’s Borough Yards. It takes its name from Vladimir Daskaloff, an artist known as ‘Daskal’, who, after many years at sea, made his home and studio in the Mallorcan village of Estellencs. The bar is a tribute to his legacy, brought to life by his grandchildren, Sam Hart and Anna Watkins. Their childhood summers in Estellencs inspired an abiding love of Spain, its produce and its culture. That spirit lives on at Bar Daskal, where the design references the warmth and character of Daskal’s studio. Original paintings, charcoal sketches and family photographs decorate the room, while a striking dragon mural – a replica of the one from the family home – overlooks the bar.

Our bar menu is proudly Spanish, from classic and seasonal cocktails made with Spanish spirits, to sherries, vermuts and an exclusively Spanish wine list. Signature serves include the Eduardo, a blend of sherries, vermut and bitters, and the Americano Royale, with sherry and rhubarb, lengthened with fizz. To eat, our para picar menu offers simple bites to enjoy with a drink, from expertly sourced jamón and cheeses, to classic tortillas and gildas.

Tucked away above the bustle of Borough Yards, this intimate upstairs space is perfect for private events, from breakfast meetings to lunches and dinners, or more informal celebrations. With space for up to 15 guests seated or 25 standing, the art filled room comes with its own private bar and a view over Park Street. For larger occasions, the entire venue is available for exclusive hire for standing receptions of up to 55 guests
